Product Overview

The component Positive Inspiratory Pressure (PIP) regulator comes under integrated resuscitation system in a warmer, which is used to provide a quick neonatal resuscitation therapy. Resuscitation is a process of clearing the airways, assisting breathing and providing oxygen or medical air/oxygen mixture for circulation in newborn babies who have difficulty in adjusting to external environment outside uterus which can lead to respiratory related issues. The PIP circuit limits the pressure of air and begins with the PIP regulator. The air and oxygen (O₂) gas fittings are used to connect the external medical gases’ hoses to the resuscitation system. The gas flow from outlet tubing is regulated primarily by means of a flow regulator. This gas flows through PIP regulator which reduces the gas pressure to 110KPa. The output branches off into two circuits - one circuit goes to the PIP variable relief valve which can be varied by the user via a knob located on the front of the unit and the other circuit goes to the PIP fixed relief valve. This comes as a part of MIC Panda™ iRES Warmer.
